Riverwoods, located 27 miles north of the Loop, is a community with amazing natural beauty.
The Village of Riverwoods has some of Chicagoland’s most untouched, heavily wooded areas. It is a place where the Des Plaines River runs through the trees and scenery, giving Riverwoods its name. Riverwoods is true to its quaint nature. The town opened its first strip shopping center in fall of 2004.
Most of the lots that the beautiful homes sit on are at least an acre, surrounded by beautiful woodlands. At the Jewett Park Community Center, preschool classes, many recreational programs, and some athletics are offered for youths and adults. The community also has access to the Riverwoods Wildlife Preserve and the Ryerson Conservation area.
